Fairlop Oak
Loughton & District Historical Society

Established in 1962 the Society presents a series of talks on various aspects of history, both of local and national interest.
A Newsletter is published and books and booklets on local subjects. Visits to places of historical interest are arranged from time to time.

Meetings: These are held in the comfortable surroundings of the fine modern Methodist Church in High Road, Loughton, Essex, on the second Thursday of each month from October to May inclusive.
Public Transport: Most local buses stop close to the Methodist Church which is only a short walk from Loughton Underground station..
Car Parking: There is limited Car Parking behind the church but as clamping takes place outside of this area it is advisable to use the Traps Hill Car Park which is free at the time of our meetings and only a short walk away.
Refreshments: Tea & Coffee are served at all meetings for a modest charge.

Current subscriptions :
Individuals: £6 per season; Families / couples: £8 per season
To join the Society simply use the membership application form.
Guest Vistitors are welcome at all meetings on payment of a donation of £1.50.
As we try to keep subscriptions as low as possible any additional donations are always welcome!
