11th June Sunday 2.00pm Village Hall Preservation Society: “Theydon's Hidden Rhododendrons”  Did you know Theydon had massed rhododendrons just outside the village which you cannot see from the road. You can view them for possibly the very last time on this walk as Rhododendron ponticum is an invasive species that carries Phytophthora and it is the intention of the City of London to clear them from Epping Forest.

22nd July Saturday 2pm - 4.00pm Village Hall Horticultural Society: The 107th Annual Show. This year it will will include a tortoise race! Staging of entries between 8 and 11am. Show opens to the public at 2pm and prize giving takes place at 4pm.
10th September Sunday 2.00pm From Village Hall Preservation Society:"Exploring The Forest on our Doorstep" - a general Epping Forest walk that will led by Robert Levene who has a considerable knowledge of the forest This is a change from the previously advertised walk.
